About the position

At Outokumpu in Degerfors, we are now looking for a new colleague to join our team of dedicated automation technicians, automation engineers, and electricians.

With us, you will work in a dynamic and technologically advanced environment, where safety is always a priority, and no day is the same.

You will collaborate closely with both colleagues in the electrical and automation team as well as with other specialists on site, such as maintenance engineers, mechanics, planners, preparers, and electrical designers.

In our production, you will encounter modern technology and complex systems – which means both challenges and great opportunities for learning and development.

Your main responsibilities

• Actively participate in safety work for a safe and secure working environment

• Troubleshoot machinery – primarily in control systems, but also in relay technology

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance in the production facility

• Conduct operational tests, measurements, and inspections according to applicable requirements and regulations

• Contribute to the development of maintenance processes for increased operational reliability

• Participate in and drive improvement and investment projects

• Work in our maintenance system (Maximo)

The position is full-time with daytime hours and flexible options, and on-call duty is included.

Who are you?

You have a high school education in Electrical/Control and Regulation Technology, preferably with a focus on automation technology.

We prefer that you have a few years of experience from a similar role, as well as basic knowledge in the electrical profession.

You have worked with troubleshooting and program changes in PLC-based control systems and SCADA systems, and you can read and understand electrical circuit diagrams.

Familiarity with measurement principles, flows, pressure, temperature, and furnace processes is an advantage.

You express yourself well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

As a person, you are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented, and you enjoy working both independently and collaboratively.

We place great importance on your personal qualities – we are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a safe, efficient, and developing workplace.
